Mazza d'Oro XXI
Italian Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship (IHBPC)
Mazza d'Oro is the Italian Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship (IHBPC), organised by ASD Milano Bike Polo. It is an amateur sporting event open to all genders, where bikes take the place of horses and mallets take the place of, well, mallets. The goal is simple: get the ball in the other team's net.
This is the 21st edition of the tournament, and it is happening as a side event of CMWC 2026, so if you are already in Milan, you have no excuse not to come and watch or play.
Format
The tournament runs over three days at the basketball courts in Parco Famagosta (Campetti da basket - Famagosta). Friday and Saturday are the round match days, determining who advances to the final day. Sunday is when it all comes together - the finals, followed by a celebration of the players who performed best over the weekend.
Matches are played 4v4 on a roughly 40x20 m inline hockey rink, with two goals per side, for approximately 16 minutes per game. Players come from all over Italy.

About Hardcourt Bike Polo
Hardcourt Bike Polo is a team sport played on bikes, inspired by traditional polo. Two teams compete on a hard court, using long-handled mallets to drive a ball into the opposing goal, all without ever putting a foot down. It is fast, physical, technical, and genuinely fun to watch even if you have never seen it before.
The sport is open to everyone regardless of gender, age, or cycling background.
